Collletttivo 🎁 Holidays 2020 Update
Happy Holidays! We hope you are well. It’s been a while since our last update. We have some exciting news about our latest efforts and what’s coming in 2021.
Meglio Qui Che Altrove
Hansel Grotesque recently launched a new e-commerce producing and selling type-related items. HG invited us to create a unique object for his platform and after a long process of decision making we came up with two of them. “Meglio Qui Che Altrove”, the name of our collaboration with HG, actually consists of two custom woven rugs, handmade in India and decorated with our very own design. We are grateful we had the chance to do something we normally would not and are happy to finally share the end results with you all.
The typographic element is developed as a decoration motif on the one hand, and an active game of exploration, almost a riddle, on the other. In fact, we are invited to identify the shapes of the letters and to try to read the message, which in the transition from a digital to a physical medium has become completely distorted and has taken on a different aspect.
Apfel Grotezk Fett
Apfel is receiving a 2.0 rework with better curves, a more complete glyphset, a reworked Brukt style and a brand new Bold weight. Get ready for the harvest this January!
Major Update For Ortica
Ben is revamping Ortica: finer metrics, reworked shapes and a larger character set. Ortica 2.0 is due to come out this January!
Mattone Is Coming Back
You may have noticed that sometime in 2020 we pulled off Mattone from our website, one of the very first typefaces released on Collletttivo back in 2017. Nunzio is completely redrawing the typeface from scratch and also adding a Light weight.
Collletttivo × Pittogramma
We are delighted to inform you that Collletttivo is taking part in Pittogramma’s second issue, focused on unseen typefaces made by young designers, alongside Alessio D'Ellena, Michele Patanè, C-A-S-T and many more. Make sure to follow them and look forward to what we are cooking.
Collletttivo × Sprint
This year we collaborate again with SPRINT, the Milanese independent publishing fair as an exhibitor in a new format. Together with them, if the pandemic allows it, we will also soon hold an interesting workshop. We can’t reveal much, but we'll let you know more very soon.
Thanks for reading all the way to the end.
We wish you a safe and happy new year!
